This design was a collaboration between the owners and myself. This was the lady of the house's project and was a wonderful person to work with. FJ Fortune and Company were the general contractors on this extensive remodel. Matching the diamonds of the windows upstairs was important as well as maintaining the Adirondack look of the windows and upper railings of the decks. As seen in the photo above, these rustic Adirondack style doors presented many challenges and generated interesting solutions. The joints on these doors were carved using a small chain saw.
Note: Interesting use of the chain saw in this project. It was also the latest we'd ever been on the water. We pulled our boat out of the water on Thanksgiving Eve.
